Frequently Asked Questions
-
Yes, although it’s a less invasive one. Pigment is inserted into the skin with a small needle. It’s more shallow than a traditional tattoo, so it’s designed to fade over time.
The pigment contains standard ingredients found in cosmetics.

Most clients say the discomfort is a 1-3 out of 10 – it’s more irritating than deeply painful. I provide topical numbing for your comfort. Most clients actually fall asleep!

No – you’ll be able to go back to work, school and life immediately.
I give you a cleansing routine that’s designed to minimize scabbing and shedding over two weeks. The vast majority of my clients heal without unsightly scabs.
The only caveat is that we recommend you book ombré after sunny vacations, as excessive sun exposure, water, and sweat can break the pigment down faster during the heal phase.

Consultations are not required ahead of time, as I consult with every client in the studio the day of the service. However, if you have many questions or potential contraindications, I strongly suggest you book one.
The fee goes toward your appointment if you decide to book within 30 days.
If you book an appointment without a consultation, I assume you’re ready to proceed with the service and have no major concerns that would prevent you from receiving it.

It depends. For best results, we have to follow the natural shape as much as possible. We cannot make drastic changes to the shape (i.e., making a very flat arch much higher). Rest assured that you will approve the shape before waxing, tinting or tattooing begins!

After your first touch-up, you will typically wait at least one year to receive another one. It’s ideal to let some pigment fade first before we continue to add more.
To protect the integrity of your skin, I do not allow multiple touch-ups throughout the year for small areas of pigment loss.

I work on the softer side to ensure the pigment remains flattering in the skin. If you like a very dark, dramatic, saturated look with solid (not faded) fronts, I am not the artist for you. ❤️

Absolutely! I have many clients with little to no hair. Your results may appear less dimensional, but we can absolutely still create a soft, flattering look with microshading.
